ABOUT THE PLAY: Following the passing of her mother, Natasha returns home to Detroit to help her father and discovers her childhood home hanging on by a thread and a claim that could change her future in a city fighting for its own life.

Patrice Bell* (Natasha) Broadway: Rocktopia Off- Broadway: Serious Adverse Effects, Office Politics. John Robert Hurley (Kent) is an actor, director and cinematographer from Macon, Georgia. He was most recently on screen in Season 2 of FX’s ATLANTA and is currently directing JOHNNY & THE DEVIL’S BOX a new Appalachian musical by Douglas Waterbury-Tieman.
Christy Richardson* (Taryn) is so happy to support BlackBoard Plays! Recent onstage work has included Venus in Fur at Alliance Repertory Theatre, A Christmas Carol and The Importance of Being Earnest at Titan Theatre Company, and Tovarich, Romeo and Juliet, and Comedy of Errors at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Pernell Walker* (Margaret) thanks God for allowing her to work with such passionate, profound filmmakers, theater and innovative artists. She holds a MFA in acting from The Actors Studio Drama School as well as a BA in Theater from City College. Ms.Walker made her first feature film debut as Laura In the award winning and critically acclaimed film, Pariah Directed by Dee Rees. Off-Broadway roles include Rashawn in Radha Blank’s SEED Directed by Niegel Smith and Isabel in James Tyler’s Dolphins and Sharks At Labyrinth Theater Company. You can watch Pernell in Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt as Vonda, her breakout role as Ruby/ THUNDERTHIGHS in Season 1 of HBO’s hit series The Deuce working alongside Golden Globe nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal and Golden Globe winner James Franco.
