We are thrilled to announce that our next feature is around the corner… MONDAY in fact. Blackboard Plays has also been in support of Black Playwrights at all levels in their development and we are pleased to have met Camille Thomas and to support this reading of her one-woman show. We really enjoyed have you in the “house” for Tom Minters beautiful play, Reconstruction on May 11th and hope that you can join us for this story that speaks to what so many young people of color face today when fighting to get an education.
Please JOIN US… on Zoom at 7:30pm on Monday, May 25, 2020
The “House” will open at 7:15pm.

ABOUT THE PLAY
Camille Thomas, a creator and activist, navigates a predominantly white institution in pursuit of an undergraduate degree through rising tuition costs, familial expectations, and her own personal aspirations. This one woman show merges monologues, slam poetry, and character defining moments from her past.
Camille Thomas (She/her/hers) hails from Detroit, Michigan and is a recent graduate of Michigan State University. Since moving to New York a year ago she has interned at Manhattan Theatre Club with their Stargate program, where she assisted in devising an off-Broadway production. Additionally she performed with American Slavery Project in their Unheard Voices series. Camille is overjoyed to present “yOU CaN TAke ouT a PArEnT pLUS lOaN” with Blackboard plays.
