ABOUT THE PLAY:

“When We Were gods” tells the story of the Sable Venus’ search for love through the pain of betrayal and jealousy. This play questions the role of these historically White gods during one of the biggest atrocities to face this earth, slavery. This play asks are the gods responsible for the atrocities humanity faces, should we hold the gods accountable, and how the hell do we dethrone Zeus?
