Audition Opportunity: Columbia University – AEA and Non-Union

Casting “The Woman / The Man,” a double feature Columbia School of the Arts MFA Directing Thesis Productions. Headed by director and Emmy-nominated choreographer, Jeffrey Page. “The Woman / The Man” will be comprised of an ensemble-based company of 13 actors performing two plays: Adrienne Kennedy’s “Funnyhouse of a Negro” and Suzan-Lori Parks’ “The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World.” We are especially interested in actors who can sing and move well.

Almeria and I were honored to be asked by Alexis Clements (Women in Theatre co-editor) to interview Karen Evans of Black Women’s Playwright’s Group in Washington, D.C.

WIT (Women in Theatre) is an annual magazine published by The League of Professional Theatre Women, who has partnered with Howlround for pieces highlighting women’s voices in Theatre.
